Lead Researcher – Disaggregated Datacenter Network Virtualization (m/f/d)
Your mission
- Lead the design and research of next-generation network virtualization for disaggregated datacenter infrastructures
- Architect and prototype elastic, high-performance and reliable IO virtualization frameworks tailored for serverless and cloud-native environments
- Publish influential research, file patents, and contribute to open-source ecosystems and top industry forums
- Drive collaborations with leading universities and research institutions
Your areas of expertise
- Master or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields
- Extensive R&D experience in Datacenter Infrastructures
- Deep understanding and hands-on experience in several of the following:
- Datacenter network architecture and software-defined networking
- DPDK, Open vSwitch(OVS), VirtIO, and KVM/Qemu
- SmartNICs, SR-IOV, PCIe device passthrough, and hardware offloading
- TCP/IP protocol stack and RDMA internals
- Proven track record through publications, patents, or open-source contributions
- Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Familiarity of CXL (Compute Express Link) or UEC (Ultra Ethernet Consortium) architecture and its implications for memory pooling and device disaggregation is a plus
