Precision Optics Engineering Laboratory
Precision Optics Engineering Laboratory focuses on the research and development of diffractive optical technologies. Our goal is to reach breakthroughs by applying front-end scientific advances and implementing innovative architecture designs into Huawei’s optical components. To support hardware innovation, we develop advanced optical simulation tools, which embrace state-of-the-art mathematical and computational principles to boost the design and optimization of optical systems. We count with multiple work spaces and optical labs, including a full equipped laser Lab for holographic technology development and a cleanroom for prototyping and characterization.
Research Areas
Concept Design and Prototype Verification: introduce the diffractive technologies to current product, propose novel architecture, and improve the product competence.
Optical Simulation Tools Development: Develop diffractive optical elements design tools, and implement refractive-diffractive fusion simulation tools to auxiliary novel optical modules verification.
