AEL works at the forefront of innovation in audio technology to support in-car sound playback for standard, premium and advanced sound systems.
The technologies and solutions developed by AEL are already available on the market, for example in the very successful AITO M5/M7 car (https://aito.auto/), where 19 loudspeakers were used to create an immersive surround sound experience.
For this purpose, the complete audio signal processing chain - including active surround up-mixing and noise compensation technologies - has been developed by us.
Using our acoustic expertise and our in-house engineered tools, we also tuned the sound of that car, providing a complete automotive audio solution called “Huawei Sound”.
Safety & Software:
AEL works on the most-critical software-safety challenges in the Automotive industry. We develop and apply cutting-edge safety engineering approaches to guarantee the safety of Huawei's next-gen Automated Driving and ADAS technologies.
We also investigate how to transfer approaches from modern software engineering into the Automotive domain to make Automotive safety more agile, efficient, and ready for future Software-defined Vehicles.
Furthermore, we provide our safety expertise to Huawei's product development teams overseas, supporting the successful roll out of our High-Performance Computer platforms and other products.

The Chassis Team of Huawei AEL in Munich focuses on the Chassis Innovations with Huawei Automotive Intelligent Solution for the future Smart Electric Vehicles.
We insight the Vehicle Consumer and Environment demands to the chassis innovations which drive the advanced engineering research in the chassis x-by-wire systems, chassis central computing, chassis maneuver algorithm and simulation, chassis structure lean approaches and manufacturing craftsmanship, etc.
We investigate how to transfer Huawei ICT approaches from modern software engineering into the Automotive Chassis System Solution. Mainly focus on the chassis modulation with SOA and autonomous driving solutions.
The Standardization Team of Huawei AEL in Munich focuses on Regulation and Standardization of Autonomous Driving (AD) and ADAS.
We cover several AD and ADAS related topics such as HD Maps, dynamic map updates, safety, AI, in-vehicle data, software update, radar, SparkLink, and other automotive related standardization topics.
We participate and contribute to several standardization organizations such as ISO, AUTOSAR, SENSORIS, ADASIS, TISA, NDS, and ASAM.
