Automotive Engineering Laboratory
Automotive Engineering Lab (AEL) supports fascinating automotive technology portfolio with strong dedication on in-house development. We are a rapidly growing team focused on:
- R & D strategic insight and planning for European intelligent automotive market to support overall strategic decision-making
- Make breakthroughs in cutting-edge technologies of intelligent automobile engineering
- Joint innovation with European customers, build industry-leading overall solution competitiveness for intelligent vehicles
- Support ecosystem and standards
Research Areas
Automotive Audio:
AEL works at the forefront of innovation in audio technology to support in-car sound reproduction for standard, premium and advanced sound systems.
The technologies and solutions developed by AEL are already available on the market, for example in the very successful AITO M5/M7 car (https://aito.auto/), where 19 loudspeakers were used to create an immersive surround sound experience.
For this purpose, the complete audio signal processing chain - including active surround up-mixing and noise compensation technologies - has been developed by us.
Using our acoustic expertise and our in-house engineered tools, we also tuned the sound of that car, providing a complete automotive audio solution.
Safety:
AEL works on the most-critical safety challenges in the Automotive industry. We develop and apply cutting-edge safety engineering approaches to guarantee the safety of next-gen Automated Driving and ADAS technologies.
Furthermore, we provide our safety expertise to our technology development teams overseas, supporting the successful roll out of our High-Performance Automotive Computer platforms and other technologies.
