The Hardware Engineering and Antenna lab is playing a leading role in defining technology strategy for base station antennas and consumer devices, identifying technology gaps and driving research to close them, delivering specific solutions for the next generation products.

Material & Manufacturing Process - Senior Engineer
You will work as a Senior Material and Manufacturing Process Expert in a multifunctional and multicultural team to push the limits of existing technologies.
We research and develop the implementation technologies for 5G and soon 6G communication systems. You will analyze the technology gaps and future requirements, find new solutions and make them ready to be transferred to product development. An important part of work is driving cooperation with universities, institutes and leading suppliers.
Your mission
- Find and identify latest materials and processes to be used in our products with focus on base station antennas and consumer electronics
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes related to interconnection technology such as bonding, micro laser welding and advanced soldering
- Connect and collaborate with top universities, research institutes and industry
- Stay current on industry trends and advancements in process development
- Find and follow the latest developments on material science such as high performance plastics, plating systems and light weight structures
- Realize technology feasibility studies with a clear understanding of the requirements of a later product and production process
- Support the migration of validated technologies to Huawei’s product / production process engineering
- Conduct experiments and trials to test new processes and materials
Your areas of expertise
- Successfully completed Master or PhD. degree Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry or related field
- In-depth experience in a process engineering or material science role
- Strong technical skills and experience with process optimization and materials characterization techniques
- Preferable experience working in a manufacturing environment, in the RF - electronic or - connector industry
- Excellent in problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Enthusiasm for the future technologies in the field of materials and processes
- Fluent in written and spoken English
