Huawei’s Nuremberg Research Center is responsible for Network Energy Advanced Technology Research, Architecture Evolution Design and Strategic Technology Planning.
The Power Conversion Technology Laboratory within the Huawei’s Nuremberg Research Center is responsible for Advanced Digital Power Technology Research, Architecture Evolution Design and Strategic Technology Planning, and plays an important role in the Huawei Digital Power business in the design and development of power converters and control systems for applications such as PV Solar & Battery Energy Storage Field, Data Centers, Electric Vehicle, and Embedded Power Supply.

Your mission
- Set up a double-pulse test platform for power semiconductor devices
- Establish a laboratory test environment and construct a converter module test platform
- Design and test all essential power components of the converter
- Develop simulation models for both single-module and multi-module parallel operation
- Design controllers to create various test case scenarios for operating and testing the convert Compile reports and documentation for R&D activities
Your Areas of Expertise
- You are currently enrolled in a Master of Science (MSc) or an equivalent degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field at a European university
- Solid theoretical understanding of power electronic converters and the application of power semiconductor devices
- Strong interest in power electronics, with a high level of motivation and a self-reliant working style
- Willingness to learn and quickly adapt to new topics
- Experience in power electronic converter analysis and design, and familiarity with circuit simulation tools such as PLECS, PSpice, and MATLAB
- Previous experience with the design of hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test systems is a significant advantage
- Knowledge and experience in converter control are strong assets
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken (working language)
