The Power Conversion Technology Laboratory within Huawei’s Nuremberg Research Center is responsible for Advanced Digital Power Technology Research, Architecture Evolution Design and Strategic Technology Planning, and plays an important role in the Huawei Digital Power business in the design and development of power converters and control systems for applications such as PV Solar & Battery Energy Storage Field, Data Centers, Electric Vehicle, and Embedded Power Supply.

Senior/Principal Engineer in Power Semiconductor Device (Si MOSFET) (m/f/d)
Your mission
- Act as a technical engineer on Power Semiconductor Device (Si MOSFET), contribute in technical decisions and technical delivery on projects, working closely with technical leads
- Accountable for technical solutions, deliverables and risk management to meet long-term business goals
- Participate into the communication with client to understand requirements and define new technology direction and specification
- Develop and implement new technology concepts, including initial TCAD simulation studies, design layout, and manufacturing of new technology concept
- Ensure the new technology is delivered to the agreed electrical and reliability specifications, meeting the efficiency requirement in client’s application
- Participate in the technical and trend analysis of the new generation power semiconductors
- Contribute to projects on time and with high-quality, and complete the research project development with related team members
Your areas of expertise
- You hold a Master’s University Degree in Power Electronics / Semiconductor Physics or a similar related field, a PhD degree in Power Electronics / Semiconductor Physics or in any related field is a plus
- Relevant working experience in power semiconductor device development
- Very good understanding on power semiconductor material, device design, process development, reliability, and failure analysis
- Have successful experience on power semiconductor product development and production
- Design and production experience on Si Power MOSFET
- Good teamwork ability and communication skills
- Very good English skills in written and spoken (working language), German language skills are a plus
