Huawei’s Nuremberg Research Center is responsible for Network Energy Advanced Technology Research, Architecture Evolution Design and Strategic Technology Planning.
The Huawei Automotive Electric Control Technology Laboratory will play an important role in the Huawei Digital Power Business Unit in the advanced electric drive control, architectural development, design and strategic engineering of automotive applications such as drivetrain, DC-AC inverter and fusion driving component, advanced AI/cloud technology, etc. As an employee you will be part of the HUAWEI Automotive R&D Competence Center in Nuremberg.

(Senior) Automotive Torque Vectoring Control Engineer (m/f/d)
Your mission
- Responsible for technical trend and industry insight, competitive product analysis, system research & development, definition and evaluation of functions and performance of the electrically driven torque vectoring systems and subsystems
- Conducting modelling and optimization of control strategy and control algorithm of torque vector systems. Following the model-based design method MBD to develop and verify the algorithm model
- Responsible for the ability and knowledge-based construction of torque vectoring system driven by electricity, requirement collection, analysis and management, and writing system requirements specifications. Conducting system FMEA and functional safety analysis
- Formulating technical solutions for torque vectoring and yaw control, system architecture design, definition of functional modules and interfaces, system boundary conditions, communication solutions and diagnostic requirements
- Sorting out test scenarios and test cases, formulating system function verification and system integration test specifications, subsystem test plan, and assist with the testing
Your areas of expertise
- You hold a Master's degree or above in one of the following fields: vehicle engineering, mechanical and electronic engineering, automation, electrical and electronic engineering or in any other related field
- In-depth experience in the development of torque vectoring control, with deep understanding of vehicle stability control and foundation braking
- Familiar with the complete V-Cycle of automotive industry: system function and performance definition, control, functional architecture design, development process and modelling methods, calibration, diagnosis, system development, verification and validation
- Experience in mass production projects from KO to SOP, with system engineering experience in more than two vehicle models mass production projects, have proficient development experience in torque vectoring
- Experience with the following tools, or their equivalents: DOORS, Canape/Analyzer and Matlab/Simulink
- Familiar with functional safety standards of the automotive industry and with vehicle stability evaluation models, methods and tools
- Fluent in written and spoken English, working language
