Vehicle Dynamics Simulation Senior Engineer (m/f/d) for our Automotive Engineering Laboratory
Responsibilities
- CAE based analysis of vehicle dynamics, secondary ride performance, dynamics handling, analysis of suspension and improvement of chassis characteristics e.g. kinematics, tire spec., bushing, (air) suspension, shock absorber, spring, wheels, steering and brake system
- Perform vehicle drive simulation towards evaluations and assessment of comfort and dynamics attributes and ensure that the chassis technical design fulfils the business and vehicle positioning targets and requirements
- Effectively and timely resolve and improve vehicle-level comfort and dynamics performance in coordination with functional design and related engineering departments
- CAE-Based simulation of vehicle handling, ride, suspension KNC target setting and report interpretation
- Integration of controller in simulation environment e.g. steering, ESP and other related Systems
- Develop strong working relationships with vehicle dynamics vehicle development teams
- Improve vehicle dynamics virtual development process, verification methods and standards
- Manage vehicle dynamics development approach, procedure, development tools
Requirements
- Mechanic Engineering or Automotive Engineering degree BS, MS or above
- Working experience in vehicle dynamic attribute and chassis system development, preferably for premium/luxury segments
- Experience in CAE-Based vehicle dynamic simulation
- High experience in target setting for handling, steering and ride comfort attribute and supporting the cascading to system level requirement with the support of the tuning team
- Excellent CAE skills backed-up by recorded success in vehicle development projects
- Excellent understanding of overall vehicle dynamics and relevant chassis technologies
- High experience in simulation-based vehicle dynamic assessment
- CAE experience with ADAMS car, Car maker, Matlab Simulink and other relevant applications
- Expert level to and deep knowledge of chassis layout, hardpoint setting, parameters value and target requirement interpretation criteria
