In the Jena Research Center we are now looking for a
Technology Insight Engineer - Leased Labor 18 months (m/f/d)
Your mission
You will engage with top optics and photonics technology insight, assess breakthroughs, and drive innovation. With wholistic view on the European technologies and market you will:
- Based on the current major issues and strategic direction of products, identify, and collect the information of top universities, enterprises, and startups about optics including optical communications, display, AR/VR, optical sensing, and imaging technologies etc.
- Attend technical speeches and engage with speakers to obtain the latest cutting-edge academic achievements in related fields, and write analysis summary reports in time after the conference to propose high-value innovative technology ideas.
- Provide insights and technical recommendations on emerging trends and their business impact
- Organize internal knowledge-sharing events, seminars, and workshops.
- Assist in identifying valuable technical leads, tracking and verifying the value of technical leads, and promoting technical cooperation and technical project initiation.
- Assist in preparing internal reporting and communication with teams.
- Establish connections with well-known academic organizations (e.g. IEEE photonics, EOS, PhotonHUB, etc.) and connect with core members and experts of the organizations.
- Communicate with universities and enterprises, and assist the team in organizing insight activities, including technical demonstrations and workshops.
Your areas of expertise
- Knowledge in Optics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Applicants should have at least a master's degree or above, preferably Ph.D in physics or optics.
- Strong expertise on optical communication, display, AR/VR, optical sensing, imaging technologies is preferred. And industry experience in these fields is highly preferred.
- Solid knowledge in the following areas: short reach optical communication, interconnect in Data Center, photonic components, fiber networks, etc.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess technical breakthroughs and commercial potential are preferred.
- Excellent abilities in problem identification, analysis, and in systematic and goal-oriented work approach.
- Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken), additional languages like German are a plus.
