In the Automotive Engineering Laboratory, we are now looking for a:
Steering Systems Controls Intern (m/f/d)
- We are seeking a passionate candidate for steering systems and/or Steer-by-Wire (SbW) for research on controls and features human and Autonomous Driving Solution (ADS) features.
- The ideal candidate will have understanding and interest in modeling of steering system functions and SbW strategies especially for highly automated vehicles.
- Your role in a multidisciplinary team requires collaboration with our global research and development community.
- Your will be working on future trends of technologies, architectures, requirements in steering systems and SbW.
Your mission (Responsibilities in English)
- Research and design of features for steering functions and control algorithms for SbW.
- Validate advanced control strategies using Model Predictive Control (MPC), PID controllers, or adaptive and robust control techniques.
Your areas of expertise
- Master’s or higher degree in Automotive Engineering Control Systems or a related field, with a focus on lateral dynamics
- Experience in developing control systems for vehicle dynamics or related automotive systems. Deep understanding of vehicle steering kinematics, and control theory.
- Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink/Octave/C/C++/or related tools for modeling and simulation.
- Enthusiastic to work as part of our international team and fluent communication skills in English.
