We are seeking a diligent, highly organized and proactive legal assistant to provide administrative, operational and legal support to Huawei European Intellectual Property Dept. This role will assist with day-to-day administrative tasks, support routine matters of multiple functions of the team, including IP licensing, transaction and litigation activities, etc. You will be part of Huawei European Intellectual Property team and will have the opportunity to work closely with our other regional teams.

Your mission
- Coordination with Cross-functional Teams: Acting internally as a communication bridge with administrative team and other platform functions of research centers in HQ, HQ IP and other regional IP teams, other internal stakeholders, to ensure smooth operation and coordination;
- Licensing and Litigation Support: Assisting in managing licensing negotiations and litigation projects, including but not limited to legal research, tracking key deadlines, scheduling appointments, ensuring confidentiality of all sensitive and private information, and liaising with external law firms and other external stakeholders.
- Document Management: Translating and assisting in drafting legal documents, contracts, letters, correspondence, and reports etc., managing and organizing legal and IP related files and documentation, including filing, tracking, and archiving patent records and correspondence;
- Other Administrative Support: Providing general administrative support to Huawei European Intellectual Property Dept., including but not limited to scheduling meetings, calendar coordination, make appointments, handling communications, processing of incoming mail (scanning, uploading), processing cost and expense reimbursement, copying documents, maintain supplies etc.

Your areas of expertise
- 2 years working experience of legal assistant either in a law firm, patent firm or in an in-house legal or IP team.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- An ability to work closely with a variety of stakeholders on a local and global basis to develop strong working relationships.
- Proactive and adaptable attitude towards handling various administrative tasks and projects.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Good knowledge of legal and intellectual property.
- Fluency in German, English and Chinese.
- Good drafting skills – able to work with existing templates and to create bespoke wording/documents as required.
- Excellent planning, attention to detail, organizational and time management skills with the ability to work to tight time schedules, prioritizing and handling conflicting demands.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
- Able to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
- Office-based work pattern.
Helpful:
- A legal or intellectual property background is highly preferred.
- Academic qualifications in law or intellectual property is preferred.
