Huawei's Munich Research Center with its European Antenna Competence Center is responsible for advanced technology research, architectural development, design and strategic engineering of Huawei´s base station antennas, but also for product management, industrial standard and ecosystem development and technical support activities in Europe and globally. 

To meet the global demand, we are looking for an Antenna Technical Expert. This position will play a key role of technical cooperation with key person in tire-1 operators, universities and industrial partners, and support the industrial key activities e.g., NGMN P-BASTA, Antenna Expert Talk, to establish joint innovations, verifying new antenna technologies and solutions, and building up new industrial standards and recommendations.

Your mission

• Antenna architecture/solution research
• Establish and operate joint innovation program with operators and research institutes
• Technical communication with key person in operators, universities and industrial partners
• Output antenna technical deep dive materials and whitepapers
• Support NGMN activities e.g. P-BASTA, BASTA-AA and output supporting documents
• Support Antenna Expert Talk activities, including planning, documentation, and discussion
• Sales technical support in Europe, e.g. technical deep dive, explanation, clarification
• Antenna technical insight, including new trends, key requirements, and competition

Your areas of expertise

• Master or higher degree in research/engineering
• At least 10-15 years research experience in antenna and electromagnetic field
• Excellent communication skills, excellent analytic and soft skills
• Able to lead and guide international projects
• Able to work under pressure in a time constrained and deadline driven environment
• High degree of self-motivation and entrepreneurship, willing to assume responsibilities and proactively driving assignments to achieve the goals
• You are open minded and an excellent team player.
• Fluent in English with great intercultural, social and communication skills, German/Spanish/French/or even Chinese would be an advantage
• Ready for frequent international travel (you may expect up to 80 days in a year)
