Technology Planning Expert Automotive Industry (m/f/d)
for contributing to our technology strategy and long-term goals by exploring opportunities of technology cooperation with potential academic partners such as universities and research institutes as well as working with internal research & development teams to establish proposals for new research projects.
We hope you are motivated to work on future trends of technologies, architectures, requirements and customer-facing deliverables. You will contribute to Huawei’s technology strategy and roadmap as a member of our Automotive Engineering Lab (AEL) at our Munich Research Center (MRC).
Your mission
- You will be the key responsible for automotive technical insights, industry insights, cooperation and planning.
- Responsible for automotive technical layout in Europe; communication between our existing and potential cooperation partners and the key stakeholders in the internal business to address the pain points, concerns, and objectives from both parties.
- Contribute to our technology strategy and long-term goals by exploring opportunities of technology cooperation with potential academic partners, such as universities and research institutes as well as working with internal research & development teams to establish proposals for new research projects.
- Keep pace with the cutting-edge ICT, Power Electronics, Automotive technologies’ status and trends of leading universities, research institutes and companies, source and recommend top cooperation partners for research cooperation projects.
- Establish and expand the network while building long term relationships with the leading universities, research institutes and companies.
- Identify key initiatives of the public and private sector technology direction and potential cooperation opportunities.
- Work actively on European Projects, such as FP7, FP9, Horizon Europe
Your areas of expertise
- Master Degree in Computer Science, Power Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Electro-Mechanical Semiconductor Physics or similar related field. Doctoral degree is a plus.
- Several years of experience in Computer Science, Power Semiconductor, Automotive, Power Electronics or similar industry and experience in research cooperation’s and business negotiation.
- Ability to interact with all levels within the company and represent the company professionally towards external partners.
- Extensive and profound knowledge and understanding of the details of the cutting-edge ICT, Power Electronics and Automotive technologies.
- Broad network and connections with academics and industry (including universities, research institutes, VCs, startups and companies).
- Excellent interpersonal skills, team spirit and independent working capability.
- Your language and communication skills are fluent in English. German and/or Chinese language knowledge will be an advantage.
- Willingness to travel abroad.
- Experience in transnational cooperation in European Projects.
- An own network is a plus.
