Huawei's Ohm Research Center (Nuremberg) is responsible for Advanced Technology Research, Architecture Evolution Design and Strategic Technology Planning.
The Power Conversion Technology Laboratory within the Huawei Ohm Research Center (Nuremberg) is responsible for Advanced Digital Power Technology Research, Architecture Evolution Design and Strategic Technology Planning, and plays an important role in the Huawei Digital Power business in the design and development of power converters and control systems for applications such as PV Solar & Battery Energy Storage Field, Data Centers, Electric Vehicle, and Embedded Power Supply.

Senior/Principal Engineer - Power Module Application and Definition (m/f/d)
Your mission
Define the power module product roadmap, packaging roadmap, and chip roadmap for power modules.
Conduct early-stage technical and requirement communication with internal customers, analyze the requirements for power module (IGBT, SiC, and GaN) applications, and simulate the hardware topology.
Participate in the conceptual design of power modules, lead electrical simulation analysis
Lead the module application evaluation and address related issues.
Your areas of expertise
Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field with focus in power electronic or power module.
Deep understanding of power module application and test.
Experience with power converter design, power module applications.
Power electronics and converter topologies for EV, PV, PCS or MVDC
Power module development, proficient in electrical design, chip selection, thermal design.
Principles of Power Semiconductor Devices( IGBT,SiC MOSFET,GAN)
Industry standards and certification schemes (AQG324, IEC 60747) for automotive and industrial power modules
Experience in project development of power converter in any of the following areas: EV,PV,PCS, Data center, MVDC
Experience in power module development or application.
Experience with simulation tools such as PLECS, Ansys Icepak/Flotherm, SPICE/Simplorer, MATLAB/Simulink for power system and converter modeling.
