Safety Engineer for Advanced Vehicle Control Systems (m/f/d)
Your mission
Conduct safety analysis of complex advanced automotive vehicle control systems involving vehicle dynamics, E/E architecture, and human factors.
Conduct qualitative and quantitative FTA, FMEA, DFA, and STPA of complex automotive systems. Derive concrete safety requirements and mechanisms from analysis results and align them with stakeholders.
Design functional and technical safety concepts to address behavior and architecture limitations.
Review safety engineering work products from a technical perspective and provide suggestions for design improvements.
Interact with simulation and vehicle control engineers to deeply understand system behavior and safety challenges.
Your areas of expertise
MSc. or PhD. Degree in Computer Science, Control Systems, Electrical Engineering or equivalent automotive system/software safety engineering experience.
Profound practical experience in FuSa and SOTIF engineering, including ISO26262, ISO21448, HARA, FTA, FMEA, DFA, STPA, and other state-of-the-art methods.
Familiar with UN/ECE safety regulations and requirements, and safety challenges related to vehicle control architectures and their solutions.
Familiar with numerical simulations in Matlab, Python or similar languages.
Experience with X-by-wire-control systems is an advantage.
Hands-on attitude and positive engagement to integrate into a high-performance team.
Proficiency in English. German and/or Chinese knowledge are an advantage.
