The Power Conversion Technology Laboratory within Huawei's Ohm Research Center (Nuremberg) is responsible for Advanced Digital Power Technology Research, Architecture Evolution Design and Strategic Technology Planning, and plays an important role in the Huawei Digital Power business in the design and development of power converters and control systems for applications such as PV Solar & Battery Energy Storage Field, Data Centers, Electric Vehicle, and Embedded Power Supply.

Electrical Testing Engineer - Leased Labor (18-month) (m/f/d)
Your mission
Plan, execute and perform customer-witnessed electrical tests for:
DC charging stations for electric vehicles (EVs)
UPS systems for data center facilities
Telecom power supply products
Define test strategies and test plans, prepare test proposals, and design test cases and test setups
Build, commission and operate test platforms and laboratory setups, including troubleshooting
Execute product tests covering functionality, compatibility, new software versions and system integration
Analyze measurement data, evaluate test results, and create clear and structured test reports
Present and demonstrate products and test results to customers
Perform on-site testing at customer locations when required
Identify customer pain points and translate them into concrete product and process improvement proposals
Support the planning and design of new laboratories (test infrastructure, equipment, layouts)
Your areas of expertise
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Electronics or a comparable field
Practical experience in development, testing or maintenance of UPS systems, EV DC charging stations or telecommunication power systems
Strong hands-on experience with electrical test and measurement equipment, such as oscilloscopes and power analyzers
Solid basic understanding of communication networks and fieldbuses, including Ethernet, Modbus and CAN
Nice to have: experience with communication protocols for EV DC charging systems, such as ISO 15118, OCPP and Modbus TCP
Strong analytical mindset, high sense of responsibility and a proactive attitude toward continuous learning and product improvement
Good teamwork and communication skills, including direct technical interaction with customers
Fluent English (written and spoken) and willingness to travel occasionally for project-related activities
