Huawei’s Nuremberg Research Center is responsible for Network Energy Advanced Technology Research, Architecture Evolution Design and Strategic Technology Planning.
The Huawei Automotive Electric Control Technology Laboratory will play an important role in the Huawei Digital Power Business Unit in the advanced electric drive control, architectural development, design and strategic engineering of automotive applications such as drivetrain, DC-AC inverter and fusion driving component, advanced AI/cloud technology, etc. As an employee you will be part of the HUAWEI Automotive R&D Competence Center in Nuremberg.

Senior / Principal Wheel Dynamics & Powertrain Integration Engineer (m/f/d)
Your mission
- Act as technical and product owner for Wheel Dynamics control algorithms, driving innovation in future chassis systems.
- Lead design, development, and validation of control algorithms for Traction Control, ESC, and ABS.
- Integrate control logic between chassis and powertrain systems for optimal dynamics and efficiency.
- Identify trends, promote, and defend innovative motion control solutions.
- Define architecture and requirements for optimal performance.
- Leverage model-based development for efficient modeling, simulation, and verification
- Optimize vehicle stability and wheel dynamics algorithms for electrified powertrains.
- Support vehicle testing and refine control logic to meet requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless production integration.
- Mentor engineers and present technical ideas to influence product strategy.
Your areas of expertise
- Master’s degree in Vehicle Engineering, Control Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
- 8–10+ years of experience in vehicle dynamics control algorithm development for production vehicles.
- Expertise in chassis and wheel dynamics control, including Traction Control, ESC, and ABS.
- Deep understanding of vehicle dynamics, tire behavior, and chassis–powertrain interaction.
- Knowledge of active chassis actuators is a plus.
- Extensive experience with model-based development and relevant toolchains
- Successful experience in product development and release.
- Demonstrated ability to define product direction, innovate, and deliver new control technologies.
- Proven leadership experience, including mentoring and technical guidance, is an advantage.
- Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus.
